Encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kupwara, a Pakistani terrorist of Lashkar killed

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that one Lashkar terrorist has been killed in the encounter, while the other has escaped.

An encounter is going on between terrorists and security forces in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Police said that they had received information about the hiding of terrorists in Chakras Kandi, Kupwara. After information, a joint team of army and police started the siege. Seeing themselves surrounded, the terrorists started firing. 



The security forces are giving a befitting reply to the firing of terrorists. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that one Lashkar terrorist has been killed in the encounter, while the other has escaped. The slain terrorist has been identified as Tufail, he was a resident of Pakistan. The search operation is going on in the entire area in search of the absconding terrorist. 
 


Let us tell you that this is the second encounter in the last 12 hours. Earlier on Monday evening, a Pakistani terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba was killed by security forces in an encounter in Sopore in North Kashmir's Baramulla district. Taking advantage of the darkness, two Pakistanis and a local managed to escape from the spot. One AK 47 rifle, five magazines and other weapons were recovered from the slain terrorist. According to the documents recovered from him, he has been identified as Hanzala, a resident of Lahore, Pakistan.
