NIA took over the investigation of the Khalistani supporters attacks on the Indian Embassy of America-Canada

Khalistan supporters attacked Indian missions in San Francisco, USA. He also raised pro-Khalistan slogans there.

The National Investigation Agency will now investigate the attacks on the Indian embassy in America and Canada. In March, Khalistan supporters attacked Indian missions in both the countries. In addition, there were violent demonstrations and sabotage attempts at the Indian High Commission in England, which is also being investigated by the NIA. The Special Cell of Delhi Police had registered an FIR under the Unlawful Activities Act in connection with the attacks in March.

India strongly protested

Khalistan supporters attacked Indian missions in San Francisco, USA. He also raised pro-Khalistan slogans there. The protesters also broke down temporary security barriers put up in the city. The protesters also put up two Khalistani flags inside the embassy. However, he was later dropped. India strongly protested the incident. Apart from this, India had also sought information about the attacks on Indian ambassadors in Canada.

Khalistanis also took down flags

The NIA had released a CCTV footage on June 12, in which the attacks on the Indian Embassy in London were taking place. Along with this, the NIA had demanded the early arrest of the accused. Khalistan supporters also took down the tricolor from the embassy in London during the protest on 19 March. Mission officials say the attack has been foiled. The tricolor is fluttering majestically in the sky. A day before this, India had initiated action against Amritpal Singh.

The apathy of the British government is unacceptable

Following the violent protests, the Met Police had said that two security personnel had suffered minor injuries. India summoned the British Deputy High Commissioner and sought answers on the lack of security. The Indian Foreign Ministry had said on this that the attack on the Indian ambassador and the indifference of the British government in the security of the employees is unacceptable.
