Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Deputy Health Officer Dr Mehul Acharya said that during the investigation, information was received that 6 students of IIM had gone to see the matches played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on 12 March. Corona virus was first confirmed out of 5 students. Later this number increased to 23.
40 people infected
Old and new campuses were investigated after the incident. Of these, 17 others were found to be corona positive. Thus, in just one week at IIM, 40 people got infected with corona. On this issue, the chief spokesperson of the Congress, Manish Doshi, has targeted the state government, saying that such gross negligence has come to light in an international level campus.
More than 2 thousand new cases
A record 2,190 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Gujarat, after which the total number of infected has increased to 2,96,320. The health department gave this information. For the first time since the outbreak of the epidemic, more than 2,000 cases of Kovid-19 have been reported. Officials said that after the death of six patients during the day, the death toll rose to 4,479.
