Union Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing a public meeting in Chirang, Assam on Wednesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will complete the Bodoland Agreement by 2022. Shah said that we have entered into the Bodoland agreement and under the agreement, two-thirds of the promises have been fulfilled in 6 months. Congress never wanted to end violence, terrorism, and agitation. We have worked to take Assam on the path of development through the double-engine government.

Shah attacked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over Badruddin Ajmal's alliance with All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF). He said , 'Rahul Baba is in Assam as a tourist these days. He says that Badruddin Ajmal is the identity of Assam. You tell me whether Ajmal is the identity of Assam or Bhupen Hazarika, Upendra Nath and Shankar Dev. Badruddin Ajmal Assam cannot be identified.

During this, Shah attacked Congress fiercely. He said that for years there was terrorism inside Assam, bullets were fired, youths and policemen were killed, but the Congress did nothing. He enjoys fighting them all. You formed the BJP government with absolute majority, in 5 years we freed Assam from terrorism.

Speaking about the floods in the state, the former BJP national president said that it is very important that the state be free from floods. In our 'Sankalp Patra' we have promised to make Assam flood-free in the next 5 years. The second phase of polling in the state will be held on April 1, while the final phase will be voted on April 6 and the results will be out on May 2. The first phase of voting was held on March 27, with around 77 percent voting.
