Let me tell you that on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi is going to have a meeting with the Chief Ministers regarding the worsening situation of Coronavirus in the country and Corona vaccination. In this meeting through video conference on April 8, PM Modi will interact with the Chief Ministers of all states and union territories on the growing cases of Coronavirus and issues related to the ongoing immunization against it.
Earlier, in view of the increasing cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra, the state government has announced to implement the lockdown from eight o'clock on Friday night to seven o'clock on the weekend. Also, announced to introduce nighttime curfew from Monday to 30 April. Apart from this, strict restrictions like shutting down private offices, theaters, and salons, etc. will also be implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
Lockdown on weekends in Maharashtra The Chief Minister's Office said in a statement that the lockdown will remain in force from eight o'clock on Friday night to seven in the morning on Monday. Apart from this, prohibitory orders will be implemented under Section 144 on all days of the week.According to the statement, apart from shops connected to essential services, medical stores, and grocery stores, all other shops, markets, and shopping malls will remain closed till April 30. All these new restrictions will be effective from 8 pm on Monday night.It was decided to implement all these restrictions during a special meeting of the cabinet held through video conference on Sunday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.According to the order of the Maharashtra government, all private offices will be closed under these restrictions except banking, stock market, insurance, medicine, telecommunications, and medical sector. It is mandatory for private offices to implement 'work from home. However, offices related to local disaster management, power department, and water supply will be exempted from the restrictions.
According to this, except for the departments associated with Kovid-19 management, all other government offices will be allowed to work only at 50 percent of the capacity. Also, visitors will not be allowed to enter government offices. However, essential services have been exempted from the nocturnal curfew.
The statement said that the park, beach (beach), and all public places will remain closed from eight o'clock in the night till seven in the morning. If the local administration feels that there is a crowd gathering at these places during the daytime, then they can be kept closed.
According to this, the operation of public and private transport services will continue. Those with taxis and autorickshaws can only seat 50 percent of their capacity. In buses, riders will not be allowed to stand and travel and it will be mandatory to wear masks.
Also, the bus driver, conductor, and other employees should have a negative test report of Kovid-19.
According to the statement, theaters, cinemas, video parlors, multiplexes, clubs, swimming pools, sports complexes, etc. entertainment venues will remain closed. At the same time, religious places will remain closed for devotees. However, religious rituals will continue there. Similarly, bars, restaurants, small shops will be open only for packing and carrying and parcels.
