Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday announced the imposition of night curfew in all urban areas of the state from April 8, after the cases of coronavirus infection continued to grow steadily. Along with this, he ordered that full lockdown will be in force in Shajapur city from tonight and tomorrow in Chhindwara from April 8 for the next seven days.
Chief Minister Chauhan tweeted, 'Some important decisions were taken by meeting at (Chief Minister's) residence today to prevent the rising infection of Covid-19. All government offices in the state will be functioning for the next three months, five days a week (Monday to Friday), from 10 am to 6 pm. They will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday.
It was also decided in this meeting that night curfew will be applicable in all the urban areas of the state from April 8 till the next order from 10 am to 6 am. There will be a lockdown in all the district's urban areas every Sunday till further orders. There will be a complete lockdown for the next two days from 8 pm tonight in Shajapur city.
Chief Minister Chauhan took these decisions
All the government offices of the state will run five days a week (Monday to Friday), from 10 am to 6 pm for the next three months. Government offices will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Nocturnal curfew will be applicable in all the urban areas of the state from 10 am to 6 am every night till the next order from April 8 tomorrow.
There will be a lockdown in all the district's urban areas every Sunday till further orders.
After getting the decision of the District Disaster Management Committee, collectors will be able to issue the order of Saturday or Monday lockdown with Sunday in the urban areas of the district.
There will be complete lockdown in the entire Chhindwara district from eight o'clock on the night of April 8 to the next seven days.
There will be complete lockdown for the next two days from 8 pm tonight in Shajapur city.
