Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the states and union territories amidst growing Corona cases in the country. The meeting was conducted through virtual means to take stock of the situation in Corona and the ongoing vaccination campaign in the country. In a meeting with the Chief Ministers, PM Modi said that this time the growth of Corona infection in the country is faster than ever. This is a matter of concern for all of us. This time people have become very careless than before. More testing is required to get out of the corona. Along with this, PM Modi said that many states including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat have also crossed the peak of the First Wave. Some other states are also moving towards this. This is a matter of concern for all of us.

'Teeka Utsav' to be celebrated between 11 to 14 April

PM Modi said that April 11 is Jyotiba Phule ji's birth anniversary and April 14 is Baba Saheb's birth anniversary. In the meantime let us all celebrate the 'Teeka Utsav'. In a virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers, PM Modi said that we have good resources to deal with corona as before. Now we also have the vaccine. Now our emphasis should be on creating micro containment zones. Use the word corona curfew instead of the night curfew, so that alertness is maintained. 

Corona testing will need to be emphasized: PM Modi

PM Modi said that earlier we had won without a vaccine. We have to emphasize on testing. Even after taking the vaccine, we must follow the mask and physical distance. We will overcome this crisis too. PM Modi said that in most states the administration seems to be sluggish. In such a case, the sudden increase in cases of Kovid has created more difficulties.

CM Uddhav, Nitish Kumar and Yeddyurappa, including many other Chief Ministers attended the meeting

Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa participated in a meeting with the PM through video conferencing on the current Corona situation. Along with this, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar also attended the meeting of Chief Ministers with PM Narendra Modi on the situation of Corona in the country.

Let us know that Prime Minister Modi's last meeting with the Chief Ministers was held on 17 March, where he expressed concern over the growing Corona cases in some parts of the country. At the same time, PM Modi also held a high-level meeting with senior officials on 4 April to take stock of the situation of corona and vaccination in the country.

During this time, PM Modi had said a five-point strategy to prevent corona infection i.e. testing, tracing, treatment, proper covid behavior and vaccination is necessary. Along with this, he had given instructions to immediately leave the central teams for more cases and death states- Maharashtra, Punjab and Chhattisgarh. At the same time, it was emphasized to take all necessary steps to prevent epidemic deaths.

New cases of corona are increasing rapidly in the country

Significantly, another wave of Corona epidemic is being seen in the country. The country has seen a sharp rise in new cases of corona in the last few days. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday morning, a total of 1,26,789 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported across the country in the last 24 hours and 685 infected people died. After this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 1,29,28,574 and the number of deaths due to corona infection has increased to 1,66,862. At the same time, the number of infected infections in the country is 1,18,51,393. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 25,26,77,379 sample tests for corona virus have been done in India till Wednesday, of which 12,37,781 samples were tested only yesterday.
