Highest VAT in the country in the state
Sunati Bagai, president of Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association, says that Rajasthan has the highest VAT on petrol and diesel in the country at this time. Due to reduction in VAT on petrol and diesel in the neighboring states, the sales at the petrol pumps of the border districts remained negligible. At the same time, sales in Rajasthan have reduced by about 34 percent due to this VAT. VAT on diesel is about 18 percent in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, while in Rajasthan it is 28 percent. VAT on petrol is 38 percent in the state, while 32 in Punjab, 31 in Haryana, 30 in Delhi, 27 in Uttar Pradesh, 24 in Gujarat and 40 percent in Madhya Pradesh.
Government will lose 34 crores
About 7 thousand petrol pumps of the state will be closed due to tomorrow's strike, due to which the sale of 3 crore liters of petrol and diesel will be reduced. Due to this, sales of about 150 crore rupees will be affected in the state. At the same time, the state government will lose VAT of 34 crores. If you talk about Jaipur district, around 530 petrol pumps will be completely closed tomorrow. This is a one-day symbolic strike of petrol pump operators seeking to reduce VAT. The association has made it clear that if the demands are not met, then there will be an indefinite strike in the state from April 25.
