India has become the fastest to administer 100 million vaccines in the world. India achieved this position on Saturday on the 85th day of the vaccination campaign against the Corona virus. It took the US 89 and 102 days for China to get so many vaccines. The Union Ministry of Health gave this information. According to the ministry, India remains at the top in terms of daily vaccines.
38,93,288 vaccines are being applied daily.
On an average, 38,93,288 vaccines are being administered in India, second is the US, where an average of 300 million doses of vaccine are being given daily. The ministry said that 9.2 crore vaccines were planted in 85 days in the US, while in these days only 6.14 crore vaccines in China and 2.13 crore vaccines in Britain were given to the beneficiaries.
Fastest Vaccination in India
The Prime Minister's Office also tweeted a chart, showing India as the fastest-growing country to have 10 million vaccinations. It has also been said that it is strengthening efforts being made to make India healthy and corona free.
60.62 percent vaccination in eight states
According to the Ministry of Health, so far around six crore people above 45 years of age have been vaccinated. Out of the vaccines imposed so far, 60.62 per cent vaccines have been applied only in eight states. These states are Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.
The campaign started on 16 January
Let us know that the vaccination campaign against Coronavirus in the country started on 16 January. Health workers were first introduced to the vaccine. Vaccination of frontline workers began on February 2. However, from March 1, people with severe diseases over 60 years and 45-59 years of age started getting vaccinated. The real boom in this campaign came after April 1, when all the people above 45 years of age were included in it.
Center responds to complaints of shortage
On the other hand, amid complaints of vaccine shortage, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday said that Maharashtra has received 1.10 crore doses of Kovid vaccine so far. Not only this, Gujarat and Rajasthan are also states which have been given more than one crore doses. The Union Minister also said that more than 1100 ventilators will be provided to Maharashtra in the next three days. Not only this, oxygen has also been supplied from industrial production units.
Appeal to celebrate 'Teeka Utsav'
It is worth mentioning that in a meeting with the Chief Ministers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to the countrymen to celebrate the 'Teeka Utsav' between April 11-14. The Prime Minister had said that April 11 is Jyotiba Phule ji's birth anniversary and April 14 is the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb, meanwhile let us all celebrate the Teeka festival. PM Modi said that it should be our effort that in this vaccine festival we should vaccinate more and more people.
