Cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly in the capital Delhi. The government has imposed a lockdown for a week to overcome the corona infection. Meanwhile, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has informed the passengers that the metro service will be available every hour during the curfew. According to DMRC, Delhi Metro services will continue from 8 am to 10 am and 5 pm to 7 pm in view of the curfew imposed in Delhi from 10 am to 5 pm on Monday night. Metro services at peak hours will be available at 30-minute intervals.
According to the news agency PTI, Metro services will be available every hour on all lines. The metro will be available at an interval of half an hour in peak hours. DMRC has taken this decision after witnessing the corona infection and lockdown.
DMRC tweeted that there is a need to be more vigilant than ever to avoid coronavirus infection. Delhi Metro has taken all concrete steps for your safe journey. Passengers are appealed to follow the metro guidelines for safe travel.
Please tell that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has decided to impose a lockdown for 6 days from 10 am on Monday night till 5 am on the following Monday. The CM said that everyone is requested to follow the lockdown completely. Do not leave the house during this time. The CM said that it is expected that it is a small lockdown and will remain small and there will be no need to increase it.
Kejriwal said that about 23,500 cases have come in the last 24 hours. The infection rate has gone up a lot. There is a huge shortage of beds in hospitals in Delhi. ICU beds are almost running out. Less than 100 ICU beds remain. There is a shortage of medicines.
