Captain Amarinder Singh suffered another setback in Punjab after the High Court rejected the Kotkapura Goli Case report before the Punjab Assembly elections to be held in 2022. Prashant Kishore) has now taken 'retirement' from strategizing for any party.
Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had appointed PK as principal advisor two months ago to plan the next year's assembly elections. PK announced 'retirement' at a time when the Congress in Punjab is mired in confusion over the coarseness case, while PK had formulated an election strategy in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
In West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee won by an overwhelming majority, while in Tamil Nadu PK worked for Stalin Dravid. In 2017 PK formulated a strategy for Captain Amarinder Singh. After which, the 10-year drought of power of the Congress in Punjab was over. Capturing PK's strategy as iron, the captain made him his chief advisor on March 1. He was also given a cabinet rank. After this, PK not only held meetings with officials in Punjab, but he was also taking feedback from MLAs.
After giving 100 percent results in two states, the PK announced the sudden retirement, there has been silence in the Congress camp. Now questions have also arisen as to whether PK, after two months of working, was unwilling to formulate a 2022 strategy for the captain. Because in 2017, Congress waived farmers' debt, door-to-door employment, youth mobile phones, Rs 2500 unemployment allowance, termination of agreements with private power companies, punishing the culprits of Guru Granth Sahib's disrespect, the transport mafia and the cable mafia. Promises were made like doing. These are the promises of which partially worked on some and the remaining promises could not be worked out.
At the same time, the report of Kotkapura bullet case was also rejected by the High Court. Since then, there has been an uproar in Congress. Only Congress MLAs, including Navjot Singh Sidhu, are surrounding the government. The disgrace may have happened in 2015, but it is an incident that overthrew the Akali-BJP coalition government which has been in power for 10 years. In such a situation, the Congress had high expectations from the PK. Although PK has given personal reasons behind the retirement, but it is being considered as a big blow for Captain Sarkar in Punjab.
PK has been the target of opposition
Even though Prashant Kishore became the Principal Advisor at a salary of one rupee, he was the target of opposition from the beginning. Ever since he became an advisor, the Shiromani Akali Dal and Aam Aadmi Party started asking questions on issues like farmer loan waiver, house to house employment, unemployment allowance. At the same time, there were also reports that PK is willing to cut the tickets of 30 Congress MLAs. There was a lot of furore in the Congress on this. Later the Chief Minister had to clarify that PK can only give advice. Cannot interfere in the functioning of the party.
