All journalists declared as frontline workers in Bihar
In Bihar, the government will provide vaccination on priority basis by including accredited journalists as well as unrecognized journalists in the category of frontline workers. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday directed this effect, journalists who are not in the list of journalists recognized by the Information and Public Relations Department, will get the vaccine after it is verified by the District Public Relations Officer. All identified journalists will be vaccinated with Kovid-19 on a priority basis. Journalists in print media as well as electronic and web media will also be considered as frontline workers.
Journalists also declared frontline Corona warriors in Odisha
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also declared journalists as Frontline Corona Warriors. With this announcement, 6 thousand 944 journalists of the state involved in the Gopabandhu Journalist Health Scheme will benefit from it. Under the scheme, journalists will get the benefit of health insurance of two lakhs. On the death of any journalist working at the time of Kovid, the Chief Minister has announced a grant of Rs 15 lakh to the family.
