Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee will take the oath of Chief Minister for the third time at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday at 10.45 am after putting a hat-trick of victories in the Bengal Assembly elections. In the wake of the Corona epidemic, only 50 people have been invited to a simple ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. The list of invitees includes some more prominent people from former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya to BJP President Dilip Ghosh, Left Front chairman Viman Bose, Congress state president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to Saurav Ganguly, head of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. On the other hand, Mamta held a meeting with the Chief Secretary of State, Home Secretary, Kolkata Police Commissioner, and Director General of Police at her residence in Kalighat in view of violence in various parts of the state. The meeting directed to take strict measures regarding the violence taking place in various areas of the state.
The ceremony was attended by former Speaker of Legislative Assembly and newly elected MLA Viman Banerjee, Election Strategist Prashant Kishore, MP Abhishek Banerjee, Subrata Mukherjee, Trinamool General Secretary Partha Chatterjee, Firhad Hakim, Subrata Bakshi, Actor Dev, newly elected MLA of BJP MLA Manoj Tigga, Congress leader Pradeep Others including Bhattacharya have been invited. Governor Jagdeep Dhankar will administer the oath of office to the post of CM at 10.45 am. Along with this, senior Trinamool leader Subrata Mukherjee will be sworn in as the Protem Speaker. The newly-elected MLAs will take oath on May 6 and 7.
After taking oath at the Raj Bhavan, CM Mamta Banerjee will go directly to the Navan State Secretariat. The newborn is being decorated. There the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be given the Guard of Honor by the police. Guard of Honor will be given under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Combat, IPS Dhritiman Sarkar. The CM will then hold a meeting with the state officials. Mamata Banerjee may take a tough decision on Corona in a meeting with the officials. Let me tell you that after coming to power for the third time, Mamata Banerjee has made it clear that controlling Karona will be her first priority. Currently, there is a partial lockdown in Bengal.
