There has again been an increase in cases of corona infection. The death toll has also increased, however, it is reassuring that a large number of patients are also becoming infected free and the gap between new patients and those recovering is also shrinking. New cases are also falling in some of the other most affected states, including Uttar Pradesh.
3,62,649 new corona cases, 3,445 deaths in one day in the country
As per data received from the states and union territories late Tuesday night, 3,62,649 new cases have been received, 3,18,760 patients have been cured and 3,445 more have died during the last 24 hours. With this, the number of total infected has exceeded 26 million 38 thousand. Out of these, over one crore 69 lakh 19 thousand patients have been cured and 2,25,831 patients have also lost their lives. The active case is 34,83,997.
Corona patients recovery rate 81.91 percent
According to the latest figures of the Union Health Ministry, the total number of infected was 2.02 crore, the number of cured patients was 1.66 crore and the number of dead was 2,22,408. The recovery rate of patients was 81.91 percent and death rate was 1.10 percent. Whereas, the active cases were 34.47 lakh, which is 17 percent of the total infected.
16.63 lakh corona infection test on Monday
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 16,63,742 samples were tested across the country on Monday to detect corona infection. Together, a total of more than 29 crore 33 lakh 10 thousand samples have been tested so far.
Havoc did not stop in maharashtra
The corona havoc is not subsiding in Maharashtra. A large number of people are dying here every day. The same is true of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Punjab. During the last 24 hours, 891 in Maharashtra, 351 in Uttar Pradesh, 288 in Karnataka, 210 in Chhattisgarh, 173 in Punjab, 154 in Rajasthan, 153 in Haryana, 144 in Tamil Nadu, 131 in Gujarat, 107 in Bengal and 105 in Bihar. People have died due to corona infection.
