Freeze is running due to the dearness allowance of government employees in Corona. However, whenever this ban is lifted, the central employees will be released 3 installments of Dearness Allowance simultaneously. This will give a big jump in his salary. But employees are most worried about their dues. Employee organizations are trying to talk to the government about this.
Employee in constant touch with Ministry of Finance
Employees of Joint Consultative Machinery for Central Government Employees are in constant touch with the Ministry of Finance. Negotiations between them were scheduled for 8 May, but due to Corona, the meeting has been postponed. Employees say that the Dearness allowance is a part of the salary. According to the court order, this Entitlement cannot be stopped.
Government should increase DA in July
Shivgopal Mishra, Secretary of JCM's National Council (Staff side) and AIRF General Secretary is talking to the government about this. There has been a round of talks in February. RK Nigam, general secretary of the State Employees Joint Council of Uttar Pradesh, said that the government should increase DA in July. But our demand is that the government should also give us one and a half year Arrear. Because the Supreme Court is ruling that salary and allowance is the Entitlement of the employee, it cannot be stopped. Therefore, the government should also give Arrear.
17% DA to central employees
Explain that central employees are getting 17% DA. It was increased to 21% in 2019. But due to Corona, the increase was frozen until June 2021. Shiva Gopal Mishra said that the government is ready to issue DA. But arrears have to be given as well. Dearness allowance is part of salary and dearness relief pension. The government has arrears of 18 months.
DA may increase up to 32 percent
Allied staff organizations say that the DA amount should increase by 24 percent in June 2020, 28 percent in December 2020, and 32 percent on July 21.
