In the third phase, a new fraud has started after the vaccinations were opened for the center, state, and private sector and there were different prices in them. Under this, the vaccine is shown to be vaccinated despite not getting to the vaccination center after online registration. To prevent this fraud, the National Health Authority has made OTP mandatory to ensure the correctness of those who register online. Those registering online from Saturday will also get a four-digit OTP on their mobile.
People got the message of getting the first dose of vaccine, who had not even gone to take the vaccine
A senior official of the National Health Authority, who is responsible for the Covin platform for registration and certificate of vaccination, said that in the past week, many people who had not gone to take the vaccine received the message of getting the first dose of the vaccine. When it was investigated, it was found that some people were given the date and time, including the vaccination center, after online registration, but were unable to take the vaccine for some reason. Despite this, the private vaccination center showed on the Covin platform that they had been vaccinated.
OTP is necessary to stop fraud
The National Health Authority has made it necessary for the OTP to prevent it after the disturbances have been caught. Now an OTP will come on the mobile of the person registering online. After vaccination, the vaccination center will have to tell this OTP. Only after inserting the OTP will it be issued a certificate to take the vaccine from the Co-win platform. However, the National Health Authority did not clarify what was being done of the remaining vaccine after a person was shown to have been vaccinated without a vaccine. If they had applied this vaccine to someone else, they would have uploaded their information on the Co-win portal or not.
The free vaccine is not being sold to private vaccination centers anywhere.
It is feared that the free vaccine being sent to the central government is not being sold to private vaccination centers. The central government is giving free vaccines to states for health care, frontline workers and people above 45 years of age. At the same time, the states are getting Covishield Rs 300 and Covaxin Rs 400 per dose for people between 18 and 44 years. Many state governments have announced free vaccination at their vaccination centers. The private sector is getting Covishield Rs 600 and Covaxin Rs 1200 per dose.
