A 12-member Nation Task Force has been set up by the Supreme Court on the availability and distribution of medical oxygen on a scientific, rational, and equitable basis across the country. This task force will also provide suggestions on the availability of essential medicines including the allocation of oxygen in the country and future preparedness to deal with Kovid. Explain that the Task Force was ordered to be constituted by the apex court on Friday when the voice of the Center for allocation of oxygen was raised for betterment. The court said the center had failed to pay attention to patients in ambulances, lower-level covid care facilities, and home quarantines.
One of the main reasons behind the formation of the task force is that the Supreme Court also needs an accurate report on some questions such as the need and distribution of oxygen and how many patients are being reclaimed oxygen. Please tell that the second wave of Corona in the country is disturbed. Patients are wandering the court for oxygen, medicines, and admission to hospitals.
According to the information, the task force will also include ten well-known doctors, including cabinet secretary or coordinator of nominated officers on their behalf. Also, the Health Secretary will also be a member of it. The task force will be headed by Dr. Bhabatosh Biswas, former Vice Chancellor of the University of West Bengal Health Sciences.
It will include Dr Naresh Trehan (Chairperson and Managing Director of Medanta Hospital and Heart Institute, Gurgaon) and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, Christian Medical College in Vellore, Narayana Healthcare in Bangalore and Fortis Hospital in Mumbai.
Let me tell you that the petitions filed by some states were heard in the Supreme Court on the previous day. There was a hearing on the supply of oxygen, in which the Center was demanded that oxygen be provided as soon as possible. In this, the Supreme Court said in a strict tone that the situation should not arise so that we have to adopt a strict attitude.
