Hundreds of dead bodies have been seen floating in the Ganga River in Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh after Buxar in Bihar. Dozens of bodies have been found on the shore at Narva, Sojhwa, and Bulakidas Baba Ghat in the district's Gahmar police station area. Apart from this, bodies have also been found lying in the river at many ghats in the Karanda region. There has been a stir among the villagers due to the founding of dead bodies along the Ganges. Villagers are fearful of the possibility of corona corpses being infected. On the other hand, when the DM got information about the matter, he set up a team to investigate.
Ghazipur DM MP Singh said that information about the incident has been received, our officials are present on the spot and investigation is going on. We are trying to find out where these bodies have come from. Teams have also been formed for this.
It is worth noting that the Gahmar village of Ghazipur is adjacent to the Buxar district of Bihar. The river Ganges enters Bihar via Gahmar. On Monday, there was a stir at the Mahadeva Ghat in the Chausa area of Buxar district after the body was found. The district administration of Chausa suspects that these bodies have come from UP.
Bodies were found floating in the Yamuna river in Hamirpur. Earlier, dozens of dead bodies were also found in the Yamuna river flowing through Hamirpur valley. After which it was also raised with the suspicion that these are the dead bodies of those who lost their lives from Covid-19. However, later the district administration officials rejected the claim. District Magistrate Dnyaneshwar Tripathi said that corona infected bodies are packed, but there was nothing on the bodies.
