Patients have also started declining in Delhi amid the slow pace of coronavirus infection. During the 24 hours on Tuesday, 12,481 new cases were reported, which is the lowest in the last one month. Meanwhile, on behalf of Bharat Biotech Limited, it has been said that Delhi cannot provide covaxin at present. This information was given by Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. He said that the Delhi government will issue a global tender to get the vaccine, as there may be a shortage of vaccines in the coming days.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia says that we had ordered 67 lakh vaccines from both companies covaxin and 67 lakh vaccines from Cavshield too. The company has sent a letter to us on Tuesday that we cannot provide covaxin. The company has said that the central government will tell as much. We can give as much. Covaxine has expired in Delhi. 100 centers in 15 schools have been closed since Wednesday. The Central Government is requested to stop the export of vaccines. Give us the vaccine. The Center is asking us to draw a global tender for the vaccine, we will remove it. But the Center took the responsibility and provided the vaccine to Delhi.
Earlier during a digital press conference on Monday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the central government to make the vaccine formula public. In a letter to PM Modi, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that only two companies are making Corona vaccine in the country right now, if the vaccine formulation formula is available to other companies then it will be able to produce faster. People will be vaccinated before and after the third wave arrives. The central government should take the vaccine formula and give it to all the companies that can make the vaccine safely. The center has the power to do so. It can end the monopoly of vaccine production by using the country's patent law. Both of those companies can be paid as royalty.
