In strict adherence to the guidelines issued on the Corona epidemic in the Kashmir Valley, the security forces have also continued their campaign against terrorism. The Kulgam police, with the help of security forces including the army, has arrested a militant from the district Kulgam in South Kashmir. This terrorist from Shopian had recently joined the terrorist organization. The terrorist was arrested during a special search operation conducted by the security forces. It has been identified as Imam Sahib Shopian, a resident of Shakir Ahmed.
Police are trying to gather other information related to the organization by arresting the terrorist. Police sources said they had been searching for the police since she went missing from Shakir's house. He suspected that he had joined the terrorist organization. He got information from reliable sources that Shakir has joined the terrorist organization and is currently hiding in Frisal Yaripora of Kulgam district. Without losing time, the SOG personnel of the police raided Yaripora with a special squad of the army and CRPF and arrested Shakir, who was hiding in a secret location.
Shakir joined any organization, yet the police have not given any information in this regard. At present, information related to the organization is being taken after arresting him.
Four arrested, including Shopian's missing youth from Kulgam:
Another team of security forces meanwhile arrested four other youths from Yaripora Kujjar village in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir. The arrested men include Ayub Malik, the missing Zakir of Shopian. Police sources said that a joint team of Army's 1RR and police conducted a search operation after getting information from the sources and arrested these youths hiding in a hideout. Other youths arrested include Aashiq Ahmed Hajam (24), Basit Riaz Hajam (17), Ovis Gulzar Tantray (19). All of them are residents of Kujjar Yaripora of Kulgam district. The police are questioning them. They have expressed apprehension that these youths were joining the terrorist organization and wanted to cross the border to get training.
