In the midst of the second wave of corona infection, keeping in mind the safety of the students, the 12th board examinations have been canceled. After CBSE, CISCE, Indian School Certificate (ISC) Board Exam has canceled Class 12 examination. It is to be known that the decision to cancel the 12th board examinations was taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. Prime Minister Modi said that the safety of students is our priority. After the decision of the Prime Minister, the 12th board examination of other states is also expected to be canceled.
In this regard, the President of the Indian School Certificate Examination Council (CISCE), Dr. G. Immanuel said that the 12th examination of the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Board has been canceled. A final decision on compiling the results is yet to be taken.
At the same time, CISCE Board Secretary Gerry Arathoon said that in view of the situation of Kovid, the Class 12 board examination has been canceled.
UP board's 12th board exam is expected to be canceled
Now the intermediate examination of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) is also likely to be canceled. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will soon take a decision in this regard by holding a meeting. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Prime Minister has decided to cancel the 12th board examination of CBSE in view of the Kovid transition. For this, he thanked the Prime Minister on behalf of all the students and parents. CM Yogi said that this decision is an important step towards the health security of students across the country.
Haryana board not even 12th exam
The Haryana School Education Board also will not take the twelfth examination this time. The Haryana government has decided to cancel the board's 12th examination in the state in view of the situation arising out of coronavirus infection. The Haryana government will soon decide how to promote the students to the next class. Along with this, the students who want to take the exam will be given the option and their examinations will be taken when the situation is right.
On the decision to cancel the Class 12 CBSE examination, PM Modi said that the health and safety of the students is of utmost importance. This is our priority. There will be no compromise on that aspect. Concerns between students, parents and teachers should end. Students should not be forced to take the exam in such a stressful situation. Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank could not attend the meeting due to deteriorating health. The Ministry of Education has to inform the Supreme Court of its decision regarding the examinations by June 3. On May 31, the central government had sought two days' time from the Supreme Court to take a decision on the examinations.
Students will have the option to take the examination later: The government issued a statement saying that like last year, if some students wish to take the examination, then such an option will be provided to them by CBSE if the situation becomes favorable. In view of the uncertain circumstances due to Corona and the feedback received from the stakeholders, it has been decided that the class 12 board examination will not be conducted this year.
Objectives will be compiled in the result : CBSE will take steps to compile the result of class 12 students as per well defined objective criteria in a time bound manner.
Class 10 examination has been canceled The education ministry had recently sought detailed suggestions from states and union territories on the proposals discussed in a high-level meeting on the issue.
