EPF account holders can update existing bank account with PF account. You will not be able to get money from your PF account due to the non-updation of bank account information. Many times it happens that the subscribers have already closed the bank account linked with the PF account, but forget to link the new bank account with the PF account. Let us know how it is done.
Visit the EPFO member portal and log in using your username and password.
Now go to the 'Manage' option in the top menu.
After this select 'KYC' from the drop down menu.
Now select your bank and click on 'Save' by entering bank account number, name and IFSC code.
Once your details are captured, you will be able to view them under the option 'Pending KYC for Approval'.
After that submit the document proof to your employer.
You EPFO member can also check your EPF balance through EPFO portal.
Step 1. Visit the EPFO member website www.epfindia.gov.in.
Step 2. Now click on the 'For Employees' option from the 'Our Services' tab.
Step 3. Click on 'Member Passbook' from the member 'Services' tab.
Step 4. After this you enter your UAN and password to login and you will be able to see the passbook of your PF account.
To know the EPF balance through the EPFO portal, it is necessary to have the account tagged with UAN. Your UAN should also be activated by the employer. You can also take a printout of the passbook or download it through the portal.
