Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board (GSEB) i.e. Gujarat Board has canceled the examinations of Higher Secondary classes for the academic year 2020-21. The announcement of the cancellation of the Gujarat Board 12th examinations was given by State Education Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama today, June 2, 2021, shortly before now. Let us inform that the decision of the Gujarat Government to cancel the Senior Secondary examinations of GSEB on Tuesday, 1 June 2021 after PM Modi announced the postponement of the CBSE Board Senior Secondary (Class 12) examinations due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Earlier, the revised exam dates for the board exams of Secondary and Senior Secondary classes were recently announced by the Gujarat Board. Along with this, the date for conducting the subject/paper wise examinations for pending board examinations of class 10 and class 12 was done by the board through the revised time-table. According to the GSEB 12th Revised Datesheet 2021 released by the Gujarat Board, the senior secondary class board exams were to be conducted from July 1 to July 10.
6.83 lakh candidates will be affected
The decision of the Gujarat government to cancel the GSEB 12th examinations on the lines of the Center will have an impact on 6.83 lakh students of class 12 in various streams in government and private schools of the state affiliated to the board. Regarding the postponed Gujarat Board examinations due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, the State Education Minister had earlier said in a statement that this year 1.4 lakh students appeared in the science stream, 5.43 lakh students appeared in the general stream (Arts and Commerce) stream for class 12 examinations Registered for.
