CBSE has constituted a committee to fix well-defined objective criteria for the evaluation of class 12 students. Quoting information shared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), news agency ANI has told that this committee will submit its report within 10 days.
Vipin Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education is also included in this 12-member committee. No information has been shared about the first meeting of this committee yet. In an official statement issued by CBSE, it has been said that the people of the committee will prepare their report in consultation with education experts. After the study of the report, the standards will be approved for the preparation of the result.
Not only this, CBSE is going to start coding and data science courses in its schools from the academic session 2021-22. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted on Friday that the aim of these two new courses is to increase the reasoning ability of the children. According to the Union Education Minister, under the new education policy, the government had promised that coding and data science would also be included in the school curriculum.
The Union Education Minister said- I am happy that CBSE is going to fulfill its promise from the session 2021. CBSE in association with Microsoft is empowering the future generation of the country by teaching them new-age skills. CBSE has said in the guidelines issued to affiliated schools that coding will be included as a skill module of 12 hours in classes 6 to 8. With this, students will be able to know about Artificial Intelligence.
