Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced during a digital press conference on Saturday that the lockdown will continue for a week beyond June 7, but markets will open and Delhi Metro will also start operating. Arvind Kejriwal also announced that offices are being opened from Monday. In government offices, officers of class I and above category will come with 100% capacity. The staff below this will register 50 percent attendance, while in private offices, 50 percent of employees will be allowed to come. Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to all private offices to get their employees to work under work from home.
During the digital press conference, Arvind Kejriwal said that the cases of corona infection have come down now, the infection rate has been below one percent for the last few days. In such a situation, the organizations associated with the market are in favor of opening the market. Many proposals have come to him that the market should be allowed to be opened with strict rules. Markets in Delhi have been closed for more than a month. The lockdown is ending at 5 am on Monday morning. Earlier on Saturday, a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority was held under the leadership of LG Saheb. It has been decided in this that markets and goods will be opened with strict rules. Half the shops will open on one day and half the shops will open on the second day. Markets will open only from 8 am to 10 pm. After this Night Curfew will be implemented.

Arvind Kejriwal said that in view of the possible third wave of Corona, a meeting was held with experts and then officials on Friday. Preparations were discussed in it. It came to the fore in the meeting that if the third wave comes, we will need 37 thousand beds. Accordingly, beds will be prepared, availability of oxygen will be made. 420 metric tonnes of oxygen should be kept ready for Delhi. 25 tankers are being procured for supply. 64 oxygen plants are being set up. Adequate arrangements are being made for medicines.
