Covishield is more effective than Covaxin in producing antibodies against viruses in the body. In a recent study, it has been revealed that Coveshield produces more antibodies in the human body than Covaxin. This latest study has been done by Corona Virus-Induced Anti Bodies Teatre (Covet). The research involved health workers who took either CoVashield or both doses of Covaxin.
During this study, it was revealed that the antibody levels in the body after the first dose of Covashield were higher as compared to Covaxin. However, it has not been included in clinical practice. It has been said that both vaccines are showing good effects in the prevention of coronavirus, whether it is Coveshield or Covaxin. The results that have come out after taking both doses of any vaccine are better. This research was done on 552 health workers. There were 325 men and 227 women in this. Of these, 456 people had received Coveshield and 96 had received the first dose of Covaxin. About 79 percent of these people were found to be sera-positive. According to the conclusion of this research, both vaccines are working well on the virus.
Let us also tell you here that in May a similar statement was also given by DG Balram Bhargava of ICMR. He had said in his statement that after the first dose of Covashield, the level of antibodies in the body increases rapidly, while after taking the second dose of Covaxin, the level of antibodies in the body increases. Let us tell you that due to the ongoing vaccination in the country, till now crores of people have been provided protection against the deadly corona virus. However, the government has increased the interval between two doses of CoveShield from 6-8 weeks to 12-16 weeks. ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava was doing this because immunity is getting stronger from the very first dose of Kovidshield. However, there is no change in the interval between the two doses of Covaxin.
