Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the great leader of independence, had realized years before independence that poverty, illiteracy, and diseases were going to emerge as major problems in independent India. He had also prepared a detailed action plan to deal with these three problems. Netaji's great-grandson Chandra Kumar Bose disclosed this in a special conversation.
He told- 'Netaji had prepared a blueprint of 100 years for the holistic development of independent India, unfortunately, he could not implement it. Netaji's ideology is equally relevant in the 21st century. The problems that Netaji wanted to solve decades ago are still intact today. To rededicate ourselves to face these challenges would be a true tribute to Netaji on his 125th birth anniversary.
Chandra Kumar Bose further said- 'Netaji had thought long ago about what should be the political system, economy and social structure in independent India. He also mentioned this in February 1938 in the Haripura session as the President of the Indian National Congress. In the convention, Netaji also talked about those fundamental rights, which every citizen of independent India should get.
Chandra Kumar Bose said- There has been a lot of discussion on the role of Netaji and his Azad Hind Fauj in the Indian freedom struggle. Many good books have also been written by Indian and foreign scholars on this. Various study reports on Netaji are also published every year. This is indeed a welcome step but I would like to say one thing that all the studies currently being conducted on Netaji are focused on the role of him and the Azad Hind Fauj in the freedom struggle.
Netaji's vision of a new India and his views on it is not being given enough attention. It is important to understand Netaji's principles and his ideology. Chandra Kumar Bose further said- 'Netaji had also understood the importance of India's foreign relations. They wanted it to be promoted through Indian cultural organizations and Chambers of Commerce. He had said that independent India would emerge as a positive force in the world.
