The leadership itself is also not sure about where the process of young leaders who are parting from the Congress will stop one by one. This is being seen directly linked to the lack of leadership of Congress leadership. In such a situation, senior and experienced party leader Kapil Sibal Belag says, the leader must have the ability to communicate and listen. The political parties and leaders who are not ready to listen, they are bound to suffer. At the same time, while taking a jibe at leaders like Jitin Prasada, he says – nowadays the politics of 'Prasad' is going on, ideology has been replaced by greed and almost every party is suffering from it. Excerpts from a special conversation with Dainik Jagran's assistant editor Sanjay Mishra-
Question - The crisis of Congress is getting serious. Why is the party unable to stop the process of big leaders leaving the party?
Answer - This crisis is not only of Congress, but of entire politics because those who are doing politics in the country are ready to do anything to get 'prasad'. Jitin Prasada leaving the party is only an incident. Many MLAs in Bengal left the Trinamool because they got Prasad when they lost, the same Mukul Roy, being the national vice-president of the BJP, has now returned to Mamta Banerjee. All such losers want to join the Trinamool Congress, while Suvendu Adhikari, who won an election, became the Leader of the Opposition. This is not a crisis related to Congress alone, but a very serious crisis of the country's politics, which is an example of the rapid decline in our democracy.
Question - Whether it is Jitin or Jyotiraditya, the way big leaders of the party are running away from the Congress, do you think there is any problem in the organization or the leadership structure?
Answer - I do not know for what reason they are running but it is necessary that they are not running because the policies of the BJP are good. Can't say anything on Sachin Pilot's statement, but whatever it is, these matters should be settled by sitting. At a big party, there must be dialogue and interaction. Without dialogue, no agenda can move forward and there must be listening to ability. If there is no listening ability in a democracy, then whether it is a party or a democratic system, they will become weak. Whatever political parties and leaders are not ready to listen to, they will surely suffer in the future.
Question - What do you think is the reason for this decline in politics?
answer - Where you can buy and sell and there is a lot of money for it, this fall is bound to come. People have understood that those who are in politics today are ethical people, who have no principles or values. This decline is actually the decline of our politics and the 10th schedule has completely failed. After Aya Ram Gaya Ram, now the politics of getting Prasad is going on. BJP is the richest party, which is more capable of giving all kinds of temptations from the post and in the current situation whose buffalo proverb is being fulfilled in the present situation. As far as Congress is concerned, it happens quite often, people think that I have no future because Congress is not winning elections yet. They have to go somewhere to become an MP-MLA or a minister and on this basis, they do their politics. There is a big crisis in the Republican Party in America.
Question - In our democratic system, parties are identified by their ideology? Where is the problem then?
Answer - This reality has to be accepted that today our political ideology has become zero and politics of greed is being done. The person who stayed with us for 20 years and abused the BJP, on what basis is he embracing the BJP today and this should be asked by the public. Voters should never allow those who do such prasad politics to win elections.
Question - The internal situation of Congress is also similar today. Why has there been no concrete progress on the demands of leaders like you for reforms in the party?
Answer - As far as reform is concerned, reforms will have to be brought in the party. When the challenges of elections come to the fore, reform will come. My answer to the question is which party is improving today. Look at BJP, in Uttar Pradesh today a man can do whatever he wants. When elections are near, Yogi Adityanath is called to Delhi. The problem is not only with Congress, other parties are also not untouched by it. The political party has only one goal that how to win the next election. For that, they are ready to do anything. Our constitutional framework has become so weak that no one wants to stand against the power. This is a very dangerous situation for the country.
Question - If you are considering this as a period of political crisis, then why is Congress unable to prepare itself to counter it?
Answer: Of course, there is an inevitable need for Congress to prepare itself for this. We have given our suggestions in the letter sent to the Congress President and we have also had a meeting in which we have given suggestions again. He has said that we will conduct elections and the election has been postponed due to Corona. If there is no improvement then you will also see the results. Reforms are bound to abound in the party and we are all adamant on this as we want to see Congress again in a position where it has brought glory to the history of the country. No one can deny that the history of India has been made by Congress. That is why our demands should be implemented by talking to the party and making reforms.
Question - People are also looking towards Congress for a strong alternative in the country. So what should be the direction of the party?
Answer - Of course, Congress should take the initiative to give an alternative. A strong front of the opposition should be formed against the BJP. It should be a progressive alliance and the election should be fought on this basis. There is a Congress at the national level, but in the current situation, Congress will have to fight the elections with agreement by negotiating with the regional parties in the states. For this, a common minimum program may be made when the time comes, but now there must be a common political platform.
Question - Talking about Common Minimum Program and Common Platform is fine, but is it not true that the issue of leadership of this alternative is a big headache for the opposition?
Answer - If the election is in 2024, then the issue of leadership is not there yet. For now, let us create a framework that is strong and after that, we will decide who will be the leader. Everyone should sit together and decide this. If someone says that I want to be a leader, then he should also announce it.
