One terrorist has been killed by the security forces out of two to three terrorists hiding in Nagam Wagura in order to carry out a major terrorist incident in Srinagar city. The search for other terrorists is on. A terrorist was killed by the security forces in the early hours of this morning. After the killing of the terrorist, the process of firing has stopped. The identity of the slain terrorist is yet to be ascertained. Security forces have launched a search operation in search of other terrorists.

The police had come to know that these terrorists were seen in Wagura, Nowgam, about 12 km from Lal Chowk. At the same time, the police, along with the army and CRPF personnel, launched an operation to nab them. At around 11.30 pm, when the soldiers started moving forward while laying siege in Wagura, the terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on them. The soldiers also retaliated by defending themselves. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the number of terrorists could be two to three. Terrorists are hiding in a house. Efforts are being made to make him surrender, but he is firing continuously.
