Lucknow. On the occasion of World Population Day, the yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is bringing the state's new population policy for 2021-2030 on Sunday. By the way, the draft of the new population policy has already been uploaded on the website of the State Law Commission and people can send their suggestions till July 19. But in the midst of all this, there is a political uproar over the new population policy of the Yogi government. Before the assembly elections to be held in 2022, while this initiative of the Yogi government is being described as beneficial for the BJP, it is neither swallowing nor spewing for the opposition. Not only this, there is a debate about the new population policy from TV channels to social media.
Yogi SarkarThe draft of the new population policy which has been prepared by the government, if it is enacted, then this proposed law will come into force one year after the publication of the gazette. That is, from 2022 till 2030, the new population policy will be applicable in the state. In the draft prepared by the government, there is a provision to encourage those who help in population control, as well as to deprive them of many facilities for those who do not follow it.
Government jobs will not be available, will not be able to contest local elections
, according to the new population policy prepared by the State Law Commission, people who have more than two children in the state will be considered ineligible for government jobs. Also, such people will neither get promotion nor any kind of subsidy. Not only this, such people will also not be able to contest local elections. According to the draft, parents with more than two children will not be able to take advantage of 77 types of government schemes and grants. All government employees and elected representatives of the local body will have to give an affidavit within one year of coming into effect of this bill. Even after the affidavit, if they produce a third child, then the proposal to cancel the election of the representative is also in the draft. For government employees, it has been proposed to cancel the promotion and do it with service.
Government employees with two children will get this benefit
According to the draft of the new population policy, the Uttar Pradesh government will give promotion, salary increase, concessions in housing schemes and other allowances to those employees who follow the population control norms or have two or less children. Government employees adopting the two-child criterion will get two additional increments during the entire service, 12 months maternity or paternity leave with full pay and allowances and a 3% increase in the employer contribution fund under the National Pension Scheme.
Those in the private sector will get these benefits,
those who are not in government jobs, those who have two children, it is also proposed to provide water, electricity, house tax, exemption in home loan and other facilities. It is also proposed to teach subjects related to population control in all secondary schools.
