Former Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar may soon get important responsibility in the BJP organization. Sources say that both the leaders can be given the responsibility of National General Secretary or Vice President in the organization. Senior party leaders can also be given charge of states where assembly elections are due next year.
Sources said that party president JP Nadda on Sunday called a meeting of the national secretaries of the organization at the office in the national capital, in which discussions were held regarding the upcoming assembly elections.
Let us tell you that next year there are assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar have played an important role in the BJP organization in the past as well. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has been the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand while Harsh Vardhan has worked as the BJP President in Delhi.
Let us tell you that on Wednesday, there was a massive reshuffle in the Union Cabinet. After this reshuffle before the monsoon session of Parliament, the new ministers who joined the cabinet were sworn in at Rashtrapati Bhavan in view of Corona. Earlier, 12 Union Ministers including Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javedkar had resigned from the Council of Ministers.
Among the ministers who resigned were Sadananda Gowda, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Thaawarchand Gehlot, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Prakash Javadekar, Santosh Kumar Gangwar etc. Ravi Shankar Prasar was holding the Ministry of Information Technology along with the Ministry of Law while Javadekar was handling the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as well as the Ministry of Environment.
