"The objective of installing this machine is to ensure that the right quantity reaches the right beneficiary with minimum hassle," Chautala said in a statement. He said that there will be more transparency in the public food distribution system than before. The machines will not only prove helpful in distributing food grains to the government depot operators, but it will also save the time of the depot operators.
how will the machine work
It is an automatic machine that works like a bank ATM. The machine installed under the United Nation's World Food Program is called Automated, Multi Commodity, Grain Dispensing Machine.
There is a biometric machine with a touch screen in the machine, where the beneficiary has to enter the number of Aadhar or Ration Card. After ensuring through biometrics, the food grains prescribed by the government to the beneficiaries will be filled in the bags installed under the machine themselves. Three types of grains wheat, rice and millet can be distributed through this machine.
