Gold and silver prices saw an increase on Thursday. According to HDFC Securities, the price of gold in the national capital saw a jump of Rs 177 per 10 grams. Due to this the gold rate reached Rs 47,443 per 10 grams. In the previous session i.e. on Wednesday, the rate of gold in the spot market was at Rs 47,266 per 10 grams. According to analysts, there was a jump in the price of gold globally. Due to this, there was a rise in the rate of gold at the domestic level also.
Silver price also increased
According to HDFC Securities, an increase of Rs 83 per kg was registered in the price of silver in Delhi. Due to this, the price of silver in the city reached Rs 68,277 per kg. In the previous session, the price of silver was at Rs 68,194 per kg.
Gold and silver prices in the global market
Internationally, the gold price was trading higher at $ 1,831 an ounce. Similarly, silver remained flat at $26.30 an ounce.
Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities) at HDFC Securities said, "Gold rate was trading above $1,830 an ounce in the US due to fall in Treasury yields and weakening dollar."

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, at 04:46 pm, the price of gold for delivery in August, 2021 was trending down by one rupee at Rs 48,298 per 10 grams. In the previous session, the rate of gold contracted in August, 2021 was at Rs 48,299 per 10 grams. Similarly, in October 2021, the price of gold for delivery was down by Rs 28, or 0.06 percent, at Rs 48,550 per 10 grams.
silver futures price
On MCX, the price of silver for delivery in September, 2021 was trending up by Rs 65, or 0.09 percent, at Rs 69,477 per kg. In the previous session i.e. on Wednesday, the price of silver in September contract was at Rs 69,412 per kg. Silver in December contract was trading higher by Rs 47 at Rs 70,699 per kg.
