India has set a new record on the front of Corona Vaccination. So far more than 40 crore doses of the corona vaccine have been administered in India. India is at number two after China in terms of corona vaccination. Apart from China, no country has so far had such a large number of vaccines.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, so far more than 40.49 crore vaccine doses have been administered across the country. More than 51 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the last one day. The vaccination campaign in India began on January 16 this year. At present, the vaccine is being given to people above 18 years of age in the country.
More than one-third of the country's population got the vaccine dose
If we look at the figures, till now more than a third of the population across the country has got the vaccine dose. These are the figures of people who are eligible to be vaccinated. That is, those whose age is more than 18 years. So far, 25.2 percent people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 8.7 percent people have received both doses of the vaccine. India still has to fight a long battle on the vaccine front. Two-thirds of people are yet to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
100% vaccination in two panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir
On Saturday, two panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir completed 100% vaccination for all people above 18 years of age. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information. “I would like to congratulate ASHA [workers] and people of two panchayats in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir for 100% vaccination. The way they have taken the vaccination campaign to the most inaccessible places is commendable.
