Investment banker Goldman Sachs will recruit over 2,000 people for its Hyderabad office by 2023. The company gave this information on Monday. The investment banker on Monday announced the opening of its new office in Hyderabad.
Goldman Sachs said, “The Hyderabad operations started in March 2021 following the guidelines of the local government and currently have about 250 employees, by the end of 2021 it is expected that the workforce in the Hyderabad office will increase to 800. The size of the Hyderabad office may reach 2,500 employees by 2023.
The new office was inaugurated by Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao. It said the announcement of the new office opening is in line with its global hub for engineering and business innovation and its commitment to expand in India.
Its President and CEO, David M. Solomon, said the new office will serve as an essential innovation hub for a wide range of Goldman Sachs businesses and enhance its reputation as a global firm.
Switch Mobility Limited, the Hinduja Group's commercial electric vehicle maker, said it has appointed Goldman Sachs and former JPMorgan banker Miranda Brawn as independent non-executive directors. The company said in a statement that Brawn's appointment is effective from July 1, 2021.
Switch Mobility said Braun has expertise and experience in a range of areas including finance, law, technology and engineering, which will benefit the company.
