Vacancies of Junior Engineer in Haryana including Gurugram and Faridabad will be filled soon. This recruitment will be on the posts of JE in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Horticulture Department. This step has been taken due to large number of selected youth not joining these posts. Now the process of filling the vacant posts has started. The state government has sought status reports of vacant posts from the concerned ten departments and board-corporations.
Will be appointed in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Horticulture departments
The General Administration Department has appointed Heads of Departments of Urban Local Bodies, Agriculture, Public Works Department (Building and Roads), Police Housing Department as well as HAFED, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Marketing Board, Housing Board, Ware House Corporation and Haryana School Education Board. The chiefs have been asked to give details of vacant posts due to not joining or resigning even after one year of declaration of results of recruitment examinations. While giving information about the vacant posts to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, the General Administration Department will also have to inform about it.
Government sought status report of vacant posts from 10 departments and board-corporations
It is worth mentioning that Haryana Staff Selection Commission had conducted the recruitment of JE in various departments and board-corporations in December 2019. The results of the various stages of the examination were declared in June last year. Even after a year, many selected youth have not joined these posts. In such a situation, the work in the respective departments is getting affected. Therefore, the state government has started the exercise to fill these posts.
Employees increased pressure to increase dearness allowance
On the lines of the Central Government, the employees have started increasing the pressure to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) in Haryana. Sarva Karamchari Sangh has written a letter to the Chief Minister demanding to increase the DA of employees and pensioners by 11 percent without any delay. Apart from this, while demanding 18 months' outstanding DA, it has advocated to give restored DA on retirement benefits (gratuity and leave encashment) to the employees who retired from January last year to June last year.
State President of Sarva Karmachari Sangh Subhash Lamba and General Secretary Satish Sethi said that if orders for DA reinstatement are not issued by July 24, then the agitation will be announced in the Central Committee meeting on July 25. He said that under the pressure of nationwide demonstrations organized on the call of All India State Government Employees Federation, the Central Government on 14th July had restored the frozen DA from January 2020. Despite this, the silence of the state government on this so far is surprising. Dearness Allowance of Rs 3500 crore should be paid soon.
