Five government teachers tried to commit suicide by consuming poison in front of Vikas Bhavan after the Education Minister refused to meet them.All of them have been admitted to the Bidhannagar Department of Hospital.
After this, all of them were transferred from their home district to another place.Protesting against this, the teachers had come to Vikas Bhavan to meet Education Minister Bratya Basu, but the Education Minister refused to meet them.Frustrated by this, the five teachers ate poison in front of Vikas Bhavan in the presence of policemen.After this, the police immediately swung into action and took everyone to Bidhannagar Department of Hospital, where their condition is currently said to be stable.

Two teachers suspended for creating unrest in the Visva-Bharati campus
After three students for creating unrest in the Visva-Bharati University campus, now two teachers have also been suspended.Their names are Piyush Kanti Ghosh and Arshi Chakraborty.He is a teacher in the Department of Materials Science.According to the information received, both of them had lodged an FIR against Vidyut Chakraborty, Vice-Chancellor of Visva-Bharati University, at Shantiniketan police station, saying that on the day of the incident, the management kept the teachers illegally stuck.A section of the university says that this action has been taken against these two teachers only because of registering an FIR in the police station.
