In his fifth attempt, 23-year-old Sumit Antil of Sonepat, Haryana, threw the javelin from a distance of 68.55 meters, setting a new world record, which was the best performance of the day.With this he won the gold medal.Earlier, his best performance was 62.88m, which he surpassed five times during the final series.However, his last throw was a foul.
