The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.The Yogi government, determined to make the state a global center of religious tourism, has declared an area of 10 km in Mathura-Vrindavan as a pilgrimage site.On Friday, the Chief Minister's Office gave this information by tweeting.According to the latest decision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 22 wards of the Municipal Corporation falling within a radius of 10 km of the birthplace of Lord Krishna will now be places of pilgrimage.The sale of meat and liquor will be prohibited in this area.On his instructions, the Uttar Pradesh government has also banned the sale of meat and liquor in Braj, the birthplace of Lord Krishna.CM Yogi Adityanath has also made a tweet regarding this.CM Yogi Adityanath has declared a total of 22 municipal wards of ten square kilometers area and the area as pilgrimage site keeping Shri Krishna's birth place in Mathura-Vrindavan at the center.

Restriction effective in 29 out of 70 wards of Mathura district
The sale of alcohol and meat has been banned for the first time in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi area and its adjoining areas.After this instruction of CM Yogi Adityanath, now restrictions will be imposed in 22 wards of the Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation area.Out of this, restrictions are already going on in seven areas of Vrindavan.There will be no sale of liquor and meat in total 29 out of 70 wards of Mathura district.After today's announcement, the system of restriction will be implemented in 22 wards.Among them, one ward is 50 percent affected.Three wards are getting 75 to 80 percent affected.
Ban in seven wards since 2017
There are total of 70 wards in the Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation area.Of these, the sale of liquor and meat will be banned in 41 wards after the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath.When CM Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister in 2017, at the same time in Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation, the sale of liquor and meat was banned in seven three areas.Of these, the sale of liquor and meat was banned in seven wards of Vrindavan, Barsana, Govardhan, Radhakund, Nandgaon, Gokul, Barsana and Baldev.
