Talk made on thirty percent salary increase, opinion will be taken from legal side to be confirmed
Transport director Bhupendra Singh said that only after taking the opinion of its legal side, any decision will be taken to confirm the employees. He said that the decision has been taken to increase the salary of conductors and drivers by 30 percent, which will be given from this month.Baljit Singh Gill, General Secretary, PUNBUS Contract Employees Union has also confirmed the opening of the strike.
It is worth noting that the striking employees were to have a meeting with the Chief Minister today but as the Chief Minister could not come due to some reason, he had a meeting with the departmental officers and Captain Sandeep Sandhu. The officials kept on talking to the Chief Minister in between.Earlier last week, when union workers held a rally to gherao the chief minister's residence by shutting down all buses, the government assured them that a meeting with the chief minister would be held on September 14.But the captain did not meet him in the matter of the meeting.
