New Delhi.Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has made a big announcement regarding the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. He said on Thursday at Sohna in Haryana's Gurugram district that the partially open Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be fully opened next month. Let us tell you that this expressway was started by PM Modi many years ago.
Apart from this, the Union Minister said, 'I am going to inaugurate it next month. Now the expressway built at a cost of over Rs 6,000 crore will reduce the travel time between Delhi and Meerut to 40 minutes.
Now this facility will be available on the
expressway,drivers running on the Delhi Meerut Expressway are going to get many facilities from December. Petrol and CNG will be available on the expressway. Please tell that at present, the drivers have to face problems due to the absence of petrol and CNG pumps between Meerut and Dasna. Not only this, the facility of petrol and CNG is not provided anywhere on this 60 km expressway. For this, after Dasani, one has to come to the highway part. Apart from this, it has to be dropped at Bhojpur for petrol, etc. between Meerut to Dasna. By the way, a rest area is being built by NHI at Didwari between Meerut and Dasna. The speed limit on this expressway is 100 kmph in UP and 70 kmph in Delhi.
