New Delhi.The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested two inter-state drug smugglers from the Dwarka area.Both used to bring ganja from forest areas of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and sell it to small smugglers in Delhi-NCR.358 kg of ganja and a Scorpio car used in smuggling have been seized from them.By tricking the police and other agencies of seven states, these people used to bring ganja to Delhi and sell it.
According to Joint Commissioner Crime Branch Alok Kumar, the names of the arrested smugglers are Rakesh (Hisar, Haryana) and Joginder (Charkhi Dadri, Haryana).The investigationhas revealed that both work for the infamous smuggler Vijay alias Fauji, a resident of Rohtak.Vijay was earlier serving in the army.
On September 17, the Crime Branch got information that some gang members were coming towards Ghulsiras Chowk, Dwarka, Sector 24 carrying huge quantity of ganja in Scorpio.Under the leadership of ACP Girish Kaushik and Inspector Data Ram, the team of SI Arvind, Rakesh, Subhash, ASI Rajendra, Mahesh, Vinod, Havildar Ajay and Sandeep caught both of them.
During interrogation, it was found that Joginder, being a new member, used to get Rs 10,000 per consignment while Rakesh used to get Rs 50,000.Gang members used to carry ganja in Scorpio and Fortuner, in front of them another vehicle used to run as a pilot.
