Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of Team India and currently the President of BCCI, has been fined by the Calcutta High Court.

Former India captain and currently BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been fined.This fine has been imposed by the Calcutta High Court.Let us tell you that the High Court has imposed a fine of 10 thousand rupees on the former Indian captain.According to the information, along with Sourav Ganguly, the Bengal Government and Housing Corporation have also been fined.A fine of 50-50 thousand rupees has been imposed on the Bengal Government and Housing Corporation.

Let us tell you that the matter for which the fine has been imposed on Sourav Ganguly is that of wrongful allotment of land.A bench of Acting Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Arijit Banerjee of the Kolkata High Court on Monday heard the PIL and said that there should be a definite policy in matters of allotment of land.

Let us inform that to open a cricket academy, Sourav Ganguly was given land in the CA block of Salt Lake by HUDCO, the housing corporation of the Government of Bengal.However, after the dispute over this, Sourav Ganguly had also returned the land.But in the meantime legal complications arose with that land.It was alleged that the land was given to Sourav Ganguly without a tender.In the year 2011, Sourav Ganguly's educational institution was given land by the Bengal government in the New Town area of ‚Äč‚ÄčKolkata against the rules.
