Jharkhand News (Ranchi): In thecabinet meeting chaired by Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren on Tuesday, 17 proposals have been approved.In this, while approval of 224 crores has been given for the construction of Kanke flyover in Ranchi, while Sankurhutu in Kanke, Ranchi has also been approved for construction of transport city at a cost of 113 crores.
The most important discussion in the Jharkhand cabinet meeting held on Tuesday was regarding the Kantatoli flyover.The budget amount for its construction has increased once again.Now it has to be completed in two years with an amount of 224 crores.This overbridge will go from Yogda Satsang Ashram to Shanti Nagar in Kokar via Kantatoli Chowk.Its length will be 2400 meters.
Cost increased from Rs 40 crore to Rs 224 crore
The cost of construction of Kantatoli flyover has increased to Rs 224 crore.Initially, a DPR of 40 crores was made.Slowly it reached 84 crores.After this, the cost of construction of the flyover reached 187 crores and then on Tuesday (September 28, 2021), the budget amount for its construction in the Jharkhand cabinet reached 224 crores.
The plan was made in the year 2016
The plan for construction of Kantatoli flyover was made in the year 2016.Its work was allotted in the year 2017, but due to the non-acquisition of land, the work could not be started.The land acquisition work was completed in May 2018.The work was started after clearance in June 2018.The Kantatoli flyover should have been ready by June 2020.But, till now only 132 piles, two pile caps and one pillar have been cast.Initially, a plan was made to construct a flyover from the YMCA located in Bahubazar to Shantinagar in Kokar, but now the flyover will be constructed from Yogda Satsang to Shantinagar in Kokar via Kantoli.
Cabinet gave other approval
