According to the information received from the sources, the ED has started the process of registering ECIR (Enforcement Case Investigation Report) against the then SSP of Muzaffarpur and Bihar cadre IPS Vivek Kumar.

The ED has started the process of registering a money laundering case against former SSP Vivek Kumar of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar.Sources related to ED have given this information to Prabhat Khabar.The ED team has taken this action after the case of disproportionate assets came to light on IPS Vivek Kumar.At the same time, due to this action of ED, there has been a stir in the bureaucrats' corridors of Bihar.

According to the information received from the sources, the ED (Enforcement Directorate) has started the process of registering ECIR (Enforcement Case Investigation Report) against the then SSP of Muzaffarpur and Bihar cadre IPS Vivek Kumar.Now the ED has started preparing to take further action against this 2008 batch IPS officer by investigating the cases registered against him under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) apart from the money earned through corruption.

In April 2018, the state's AVU (Special Vigilance Unit) raided the then SSP Vivek Kumar in the case of excess assets (DA).During this, a DA case of more than three crores was made against him.That is, he has illegally earned more than three crores during his service by misusing the post.

At the same time, it is being told that the proposal to prosecute him at the level of the government is also being considered from 2019.Now there is a possibility of getting permission on this too.After this, departmental action will be started on them from the level of the state government as well.
