Under the PM package, many four-lane roads are to be constructed in Bihar.

The four-lane construction of Bhagalpur-Hansdiha, Buxar-Chausa-Mohanian, Darbhanga-Rosda, Hajipur-Bachwara and the four-lane construction of Mehrauna-Siwan road of Ram Janki Marg, included in the Prime Minister's package, was agreed between the Center and the state government.

All roads of PM package agreed to be approved

On Friday, Director General (Road Development) and IK Pandey, Special Secretary, Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways met with State Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen, Additional Chief Secretary of the department Pratyaya Amrit.During this conversation, it has been agreed to get approval for all the roads of the PM package sent to the central government this year.

Union Special Secretary reviews delay in road construction

Minister Nitin Naveen told him that the state government would extend full cooperation to complete these schemes on time.Along with this, the Union Special Secretary reviewed the delay in road construction and directed to work expeditiously.Also inspected the site of construction and repair of Gandhi Setu.

Alignment will be made again from Akbarpur to Nagar Utari via Panduka bridge

During the talks, it was also agreed to re-align the NH 2C from Akbarpur to Nagar Utari via Panduka bridge.Due to passing through the protected forest area ahead of Akbarpur, the forest department has been objecting to the development of the road.

NH 120 Dumraon-Ballia road will be taken up to Janeshwar Mishra Setu

Apart from this, the request of the state government was also agreed on the construction of NH 120 Dumraon-Ballia road up to Janeshwar Mishra Setu.An assurance was given to take a decision on this at the ministry level soon.With the extension of NH 120 from Dumraon to Ballia, the utility of Janeshwar Mishra Setu will enable the citizens of the state to reach Ballia in Uttar Pradesh.

delayed review of projects

Earlier, Union Special Secretary IK Pandey reviewed the delay in road projects.He gave instructions regarding schemes like Hajipur-Chhapra, Aunta-Simaria six lane bridge, Maheshkhunt-Saharsa- Madhepura-Purnia (NH 107), Sheohar-Sitamarhi-Jayanagar (NH 104), Virpur-Udakishunganj (NH 106) etc.

Gandhi Setu inspected

Union Special Secretary IK Pandey inspected the restoration of Mahatma Gandhi Setu and the four-lane bridge under construction parallel to Mahatma Gandhi Setu at the work site.During this, the Regional Officer of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Pradeep Kumar Lal and Chief Engineer, National Highways Sub-Division (South) Anil Kumar Sinha along with other officers were present from the Road Construction Department.IK Pandey expressed satisfaction over the cooperation being made by the state government in the projects of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
