Chheharta (Amritsar).Mandeep Singh, a Sikh youth living in New Model Town near Khandwala, along with his two children jumped into the canal from the Taranwala bridge.He had left the house on Sunday night, asking to get ice cream for the children.When he did not reach home, his complaint was made to the police.When the police traced the mobile location, its location came to Taranwala bridge.When the police and family reached the spot, his motorcycle, mobile phone, the specs of the child and his slippers were recovered from there.At present, with the help of divers, the police is trying to find the three in the canal.Police officials say that all three are being searched by Gurdwara divers.Nothing can be said about whether all three are alive or have died.
Paramjit Kaur, a resident of Khandwala New Model Town, says that her 33-year-old son Mandeep Singh had reached home on Sunday evening after serving at Gurdwara Chheharta Sahib.Around 6.30 pm, he took his 7-year-old son Gurpreet Singh and one-and-a-half-year-old son Robinjit Singh along and started saying that he was taking them to get ice cream.When he did not come home till 8.30 pm, he informed the police.When the police traced his mobile phone, his location came from near the Taranwala bridge.When he reached the spot, he saw that his motorcycle was parked on the road, and his mobile phone was also lying there.The spectacles and slippers of the children were also lying there.He says that his son had no transaction with anyone.
Father is retired from Punjab Police
