New Delhi.A group of Delhi University students took out a procession in the northern campus of the university to protest against the violent incident in Lakhimpur Kheri. Left-backed All India Students' Association (AISA) and other organizations took out a procession from Vijay Nagar to the Faculty of Arts on Monday. A statement issued by the students' union said, "The students gathered in Vijay Nagar, took out a procession to the Faculty of Arts, despite heavy protests by the Delhi Police. Several students residing in the area near the northern campus took part in the procession, raising slogans and demanding the immediate arrest of Ashish Mishra and the resignation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath."The procession on the Faculty of Arts ended with the decision to uphold the student-farmer-laborer unity, the statement said.
