Fraud in the name of Bhasma Aarti Devotees reaches Ujjain from far and wide to attend the Bhasma Aarti of Mahakaleshwar temple. Only a limited number of devotees are allowed in Aati. Taking advantage of this, the temple staff were cheating the devotees. A similar rigging was caught on 2 October. Some devotees were staying at Hotel Vijay Palace located in the Mahakal area. Suresh Rathore, a security guard of SS Company, bluffed him to show Bhasma Aarti. He along with Mangal Tiwari, security guards Sanjay Malviya, Neelam, Jilesh Kashyap, and Shubham Kataria, employees of the hospitality branch, sold 200 tickets for Rs 1000.
Cheating with the temple committee was directly a case of cheating with the Shri Mahakaleshwar temple management committee. Along with this, the temple committee was also defamed. Therefore, a case has been registered in Mahakal police station under section 420 and other sections against 5 security personnel of SSK security company posted in the temple and one employee of hospitality branch.
The entry of devotees in Bhasma Aarti was stopped from March 17, 2020, as soon as corona infection started in only one thousandMahakal temple in a day. After the infection was controlled, re-entry started on September 11. After that, on the lines of first come first serve, only 1000 thousand devotees have been allowed to have darshan in a day following the Kovid guideline.
There is a provision to give entry to 150 devotees offline daily inPermissionBhasma Aarti for 150 devotees. So that there is no black marketing in the permission. But even after this, the crooks are finding their way out.
