Commissioner Garhwal, Chief Executive Officer, Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Management Board Ravinath Raman has given instructions to implement the SOP in the Char Dhams. Now registration and Kovid investigation on Dehradun Smart City Portal has been made mandatory. According to the new SOP, there is no compulsion of e-pass for the pilgrims.

Commissioner Garhwal said that now any pilgrim who does not have the registration information in the Smart City Portal will be able to register themselves free of cost at Rishikesh and Haridwar railway stations, bus terminals. A free corona test will be done for these pilgrims. In view of this, orders have been issued to open registration centers in Haridwar and Rishikesh with immediate effect.

Commissioner Garhwal said that instructions have been given to Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Uttarkashi regarding the yatra. Pilgrims who arrived for Darshan from Guptkashi, Phata, Sonprayag, and Gaurikund should be sent for Kedarnath Darshan after the Kovid investigation. District magistrates have also been directed to allow pilgrims to go unhindered for darshan at Badrinath Dham, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Here, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the pilgrims regarding the Chardham Yatra.
